18000 rpm’s in symphony. Cars, shrieking in anger being manhandled at 300 kmph. High-octane fuel and an even higher dose of glamour. No wonder they call it Formula One. Formula One cars race at high speeds – at up to 360 km/h (220 mph) with engines revving up to 18,000 rpm. F1 cars are capable of lateral acceleration in excess of 5G in corners, where performance is dependent on electronics, aerodynamics, suspension, and tyres.
Formula One Grand Prix events span a weekend and are watched by nearly a billion people on live television. Each event begins with two free practice sessions on Friday, a qualifying session on Saturday to determine the grid order and the main race on Sunday. Come and live the “Must experience, once in a lifetime” event.
